Striking of Company
A company may apply to the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) to strike its name off the Companies Register if it is no longer carrying on business.
This process is known as "striking off" a company.
Requirement
CAT Business will assist to submit the document to ACRA and IRAS for proper company closure.
The requirements for striking off the company are:
• The company has ceased all the business activities
• No current or contingent assets or liabilities
• No outstanding tax liabilities with the IRAS
• Accounts and tax computations have been submitted
• Deregistered GST
• Not involved in any court proceedings in/ outside Singapore
• Attachment of the written consent from the majority of the shareholders
• Attachment of zerorised accounts till the date of cessation
